7 YEARS IN CHINA
Warren Rodwell originally planned to only stay five years in China. Because life was so comfortable, he stayed on longer taking advantage of long vacation breaks each year to allow for leisurely and relatively inexpensive travel elsewhere. Whilst in the People's Republic, Warren held a Foreigner Residence Permit, teaching under contract at several government universities. Mr Rodwell moved closer to Shanghai (China's largest city) for his final year, preparing to exit the PRC. Wuxi, in neighbouring Jiangsu Province, is approximately one (1) hour by fast train from downtown Shanghai. Warren's recent teaching has been in English & Business Communication at Jiangnan University, which is also sometimes referred to Southern Yangtze University. Other universities are referred to further down this page.
